Penny in photo for scale.OLD unusualsterling silver tourist bracelet with three large applied thunderbirds withoval blue/green NATURAL turquoise stones. The wide tapered shank is scallopedalong the top edge and has been cut out on top to create openings between thethunderbirds. The shank is decorated with thunderbird, arrow, lightning, andgeometric stamped designs.Excellent ...qualityand very good vintage condition. There is an old well-healed surface nick tothe stone on the thunderbird on the left. There is also a hairline in thecenter band of the shank beneath this same thunderbird at the T in the STERLING stamp. This does not hinder the wearability of this rare bracelet. Ca. 1940’sbracelet is stamped “KIK-A-POO” and “STERLING”. I think that Kik-A-Poo is anIndian tribe name, but I do not think that it has anything to do with the makerand could be a style name or where it was originally sold. It is rare to find abracelet like this with multiple thunderbirds! Reasonable starting price.Likely Carico Lake turquoise. Larger shank size. NICE THUNDERBIRDS!
