This ONL Giles baseball with 26 gorgeous autographs derives from a 2004 major sports auction house. The previous owner made a copy of the catalog page which clearly shows the panels matching this baseball containing the Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella autographs. He could not remember if there was an LOA issued by the auction company but could not locate it if there was. You can clearly read the desc...ription from the auction house. There is no mention of any "clubhouse autographs" in the description. However, I had this baseball authenticated by Beckett at a recent show in Chantilly, VA and they deemed Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Rube Walker, Tommy Holmes, Ralph Branca, and Joe Black clubhouse versions.
Charlie "The Brow" Digiovanna was the clubhouse man for the Dodgers during this period of time and was the designated signer for players who were not present in the locker room when team balls were signed. He became very proficient at replicating the autographs of the players. In fact, Duke Snider once claimed 'Charlie could sign my name better than me."
The key autographs of Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella are authentic along with 18 other autographs on this beautiful baseball..

I recently picked up a nice collection of 20 team signed baseballs from a collector who bought these mostly through major auction houses in the early to mid 2000's. Keep checking back for additional listings including a 1949 Brooklyn Dodger ball, a 1952 NL All Star baseball, a 1953 NL All Star ball owned by Stan Musial, a beautiful 1953 AL autographed baseball with the early Mantle and a legitimate Casey Stengel and no clubhouse autographs, a 1955 NL All Star baseball, a PSA/DNA graded 8 1952 St. Louis Browns ball featuring Satchel Paige sharing the sweet spot, a 1956 Cincinnati Reds baseball with the rookie Frank Robinson autograph, a 1957 Baltimore Orioles baseball with the Brooks Robinson rookie autograph, and other nice team signed balls.
This collector was very picky about what he bought. I sold his collection of Yankee team signed baseballs a few years ago and they were beautiful but these are of equal quality. None of the baseballs has been shellacked. All are on Official American or National League baseballs.
