Francis Zecchini was born in Persiceto, Bologna, Italy and immigrated to New Jersey. He worked as a treasurer in the scrap iron business. He later lived in Andover, Massachusetts and summered in Kennebunkport, Maine. He painted until he... was 101 years old. This painting came from the estate of his daughter Mary F. Zecchini in Kennebunkport, Maine.
