For sale is an insanely rare Maestro TH1 Theremin. This unit was designed by Bob Moog for Maestro, this unit dates to approximately 1973. The left plate controls the volume, the right controls the pitch. Very 50's horror flick types of tones. It works perfectly and sounds great. The only operational issue of note is that it can have some AC hum at times.
As for originality, the power cord has definitely been replaced. it also appears one of the plates may not be original, as t...he cylinder is slightly wider than the other. It does fit on it's base and does work perfectly.
This unit is in good overall condition but does show wear from use. There are some minor tears in the tolex and dings here and there. Nothing too egregious. Please see pics.
Finally, the unit is currently mounted on a stand. I will include the stand mount, but the stand itself is NOT included. It is simply too heavy to reasonably ship. If you can pick it up locally, let me know and we can work something out.
It is mounted to a steel-based microphone type of stand, so it should be fairly universal. The included mount is the hard part!
Again, the stand is NOT included. Only the TH1 itself.
