Vtg AntIque 2-Sided Chinese Canton Embroidered Silk Piano Scarf Shawl. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Gorgeous old antique , possibly c1920, Cantonese Chinese silk shawl or piano scarf.
Hand embroidered flowers and delicate leaves with beautiful vibrant colors on a pale pink silk fabric. The embroidery is equally beautiful on both sides.
Silk material measures approx. 48" x 54". Additional heavy fringe measures approx. 17.”
There are no holes or other physical dama...ge, however there is overall color fading in the silk fabric, some places losing the pink color altogether. There is also some spotting near the center of the piece, where There is also a darker pink circle where there must have been a vase displayed on the cloth for a long period. It will need to be pressed or steamed as it is rather wrinkled. It has a neutral odor. Questions are always welcome. Thanks for looking!
