Selling is a wonderful piece of Mid Century pottery. The fruit basket was designed by Ben Seibel (1918 to 1985). Seibel was a freelance designer in ceramics with wide ranging style which included dinnerware, glassware, stainless steel flatware, metal and wood table top accessories, furniture and lamps. He had reached the peak of his prominence in the 1950's. This piece was designed for Roseville in the "Raymor" collection. The color of the fruit basket is Terra Cotta and it is numbered... 166. This basket measures abouut 7" tall and 13" by 9". The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a couple tiny pin sized marks in the glaze, done during the making of the piece and somewhat common. This would make a great addition to your home or collection.
