ONE OF MY REFURBISHED 2270 MARANTZ RECEIVERS WAS SELECTED, BY THE MARANTZ CORPORATION, TO BE ON DISPLAY IN MARANTZ CORPORATION'S BOOTH, AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES) IN LAS VEGAS.
FORMALLY I WAS A MODERATOR ON AUDI...OKARMA.COM WHEN THE SITE FIRST CAME ON LINE IN 2002. THE TIME COMMITMENT WAS TOO GREAT, SO HAD TO RELINQUISH THE DUTIES THERE.IT HAS BECOME A GREAT ONLINE SOURCE FOR VINTAGE STEREO DISCUSSION WITH LIKE MINDED ENTHUSIASTS.

HAS MANY FEATURES LIKE A HEAD PHONE JACK, AND PHONO (TURNTABLE) AMP. ADDITIONAL TUNER JACK, AND ALSO AN "AUX" JACK FOR ADDING BLUETOOTH OR OTHER INPUTS ?

THE 1030 IS REFURBISHED AND GOOD WORKING, BUT UNFORTUNATELY NOT A BEAUTY QUEEN. HAS NICKS AND SCRATCHES. SOME PITTING ON CHASSIS.
BUT, THIS 1030 IS VERY EARLY MODEL WITH AN ENGRAVED LETTERING FACE PLATE.
THIS 1030 HAS BEEN TESTED, CONTROLS CLEANED AND LUBED WITH THE CORRECT ELECTRONIC CHEMICALS.
NEW CAPACITORS IN POWER SUPPLY, NEW CAPS IN PHONO & TONE BOARD (PRE AMP) (W/ NEW UPGRADED TRANSISTORS IN ALL). ETC. ETC.
AS INTENDED, ALL THE CONTROLS WORK SMOOTH. NO STATIC.
THE FACE PLATE AND KNOBS HAVE SOME SMALL NICKS & SCRATCHES.(SEE PIX)
HAS THE CORRECT KNOBS.
CHECKED AND REPAIRED ANY DEFECTIVE SWITCHES, REAR CONNECTOR JACKS, POWER CORD, ETC
TESTED/ADJUSTED THE HEADPHONE JACK.
PHONO SYSTEM WAS REBUILT AND IT WORKS. ....ENJOY THE LP'S !
THE "AUX" SYSTEM WORKS FOR ADDING AN iPod, iPhone. etc, OR ANOTHER TUNER, ETC
BLUETOOTH NOTE:A blue tooth unit like the HARMON KARDON BTA 10 with RCA cable ENDS can be used. Must pair up your music source with the Harmon Kardon.

REAR PANEL IN GOOD CONDITION OVERALL, ALL SPEAKER CONNECTION TERMINALS ARE UNDAMAGED AND WORK.
ALL CONNECTOR RCA JACKS ARE GOOD.

DURING THE SERVICING, I ATTEMPT TO REPLACE ALL INCORRECT PARTS, AND USE AS MANY ORIGINAL NEW PARTS AS POSSIBLE. MY INTENT TO TO KEEP THE UNIT AS CORRECT AND ORIGINAL AS I CAN.
WHEN THE UNIT WAS TORN DOWN, I ALSO REMOVED AND POLISHEDTHE KNOBS, CLEANED JACKS ON REAR PANEL, ETC, ETC.
METAL OUTER CASE IS ALL ORIGINAL, AND IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION, WITH SCRATCHES.
NO BROKEN SWITCHES, KNOBS, CONNECTORS, ETC. IT IS A 1970s VINTAGE UNIT, WITH ALL THE CORRECT AND ORIGINAL KNOBS, CASE, ETC.

A GENERAL NOTE ABOUT 1060'sIT IS COMMON FOR THESE TYPE OF 1060 AMPS.... WITH NO SPEAKER PROTECTION RELAY / START/STOP SYSTEM...TO HEAR SOME SOUND FOR A FEW SECONDS AFTER SHUT OFF. THE SOUND JUST FADES AWAY.NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, JUST POWER DRAINING AWAY FROM MAIN FILTER CAPS.(YOU CAN, AND SHOULD, TURN VOLUME OFF BEFORE SHUT OFF, AND THUS WON'T HEAR ANYTHING.)

Unit s are not shipped "on approval" by buyers. Buyers are responsible of any return shipping cost. Even though the unit has been refurbished, it still is a 30+ year old used unit and isn't perfect in all respects. It could need some other work in the future. It is a used stereo over 40 years old. The unit worked fine when it left here.
