Original Description:
Iron smoothing plane made by Edward Preston of Birmingham.

Lovely Rosewood Infill.

Fitted with a 2 1/8" wide W Marples Iron.

Good overall condition, handle has been repaired, also some small areas of pitting to the sole.

Brass screw cap.

Sole measures 7 3/4" long, 2 3/8" wide.
