Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at an older Realistic 33-929 model dual crystal microphone from the 1960's era complete with a Japanese Lanier adjustable desk stand. This unique microphone was produced by a couple Japanese manufacturers including Aiwa and resembled (only in looks) the much higher quality R.C.A ribbon microphones made famous during the 1940's and 50's. This microphone utilizes a High Z dual crystal type... elements that no longer work. Like many of these older crystal mics they are very much on the weak side or simply no longer work. This should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. As seen in the pictures provided this particular mic is very good physical condition being free of any fractures or corrosion. The inner screen is free of any dark stains too. There is nothing loose inside or out. She's a real tight mic. You can always get the element replaced with something much nicer down the road as well if you don't care for the weaker crystal sound. There's plenty of room under the screens to work with. The metal screens are free of any dents and have a gorgeous luster. There are some lite scratches on the bottom of the chrome piece. The original cable has been shortened to 10 inches and has a male XLR end connector attached. The cable is soft, pliable and free of damage. This pill mic model is appx 6 inches tall X 2 inches wide and it will screw onto any American vintage stand as the thread is the universal 5/8. The tightening screws on the sides work just as they should as well. The mic comes with a 80's era Lanier Japanese desk stand that's quite tall. This stand emulated the look of many American stands in the 1940's with it's distinct looking cast iron base. As seen in the pictures provided this desk stand has very lite wear. The factory black paint is very nice as is the chrome plated upper and lower tubing. The mic even come with it's original 4 pads to keep the base from scratching any surface it may rest on. This desk stand measures appx 24 inches tall (tallest height) X 15 inches (lowest height) X 5 inches wide and weighs almost 2 pounds. I'd give the 33-929 a solid 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. As with all my vintage microphones... I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy.
