The first made-for-travel timepiece, this beautiful and rare Movado "Calendermeto" travel clock of stainless steel base metal and brown crocodile outer cover is the one that started it all, and a must-have collector's piece! It features a triple date calendar with moon phases, original white dial with raised gold Arabic numeral hour markers, apertures for the day of week and month, outer calendar track and gorgeous gold pointy hands. Other details of technical ingenuity include a built...-in winding mechanism that works when the case is opened and closed, along with a foldout stand. Measures 3" long when opened and 2" when closed, by 1.25" high. Stamped 1249 and 836M. The dial shows some normal age and wear but remains stunning to look at. The original crocodile leather cover shows its age and normal wear and use, with 1 rip on the right corner (see photo) and some peeling that is quite common to find with these timepieces. The item has not been tested and is sold as is. These "Calendarmeto" watches were made in a very short period and are very difficult to find in any condition -- and are highly collectible.
