Original Description:
For bid is an original April 26, 1945 admission pass to the "United National Conference on International Organization, San Francisco, 1945" held while the fighting of World War II was still occurring.  This was the FOUNDING CONFERENCE of the creation of the UN.  Pass for the "Second Plenary Session" with the name of the person who used it on the front.  Facsimile signature of Alger Hiss (Secretary General) on the front.  Handwritten on the back:  "Attended... the Peace Conference with Mrs. Wm. F. Travers / Saw Anthony Eden, V. M. Molotov, J. V. Soong, Eward R. Stettinius Sec'y of State, at the San Francisco Opera House."  Written in black fountain pen ink.  She also hand-wrote the date April 26, 1945 on the lower left edge.  Card is otherwise in very good condition and a GREAT piece of United Nations history!
