Presented is a fabulous pair of Chinese/Japanese bronze censers with ornate covers.
These censers are really great quality! You can use them as a pair of vases, urns, or just simply for decorative beauty!
These censers are raised on tripod feet that are wonderfully fashioned with water flourishes and birds. The high relief scenes on the body of the censers are ...lovely birds motifs. The handles and the finials are nice foo dogs.
Even the undersides of the lids are decorated!
(Please Note: These handles have “V” grooves that slide onto the body of the vase. The handles are for decorative purposes only. These vases should NOT be lifted by the handles.)
These Asian censers were made circa the mid 1800s through the early 1900s.
They are in great condition. The patina is wonderful!
There are little flaws on the foo or fu dogs: One finial is missing the point of the tail. One foo dog handle is missing a paw and the others are missing the point/s of the tail as noted in the photographs.
These are stunning vases!
