This is a 1st Issue Texas Highway Patrol Badge, often referred to as "The Diamond Badge". My understanding is that during this Time Period the State of Texas passed Law that any Law Enforcement Agency conducting Traffic Law Enforcement was required to wear a Diamond Style Badge with their Agency Information on it. I believe the Texas Highway Patrol may have been the 1st Agency to do so. Diamond Badges from Texas are highly collectible and are an Excellent Investment. Most Collectors li...ke to collect one of every Style Issued by the Texas Highway Patrol, if that's your Goal then don't miss out on this one. These Diamond Badges are very hard to find and if available are with a higher 3 Digit Number and or with a Damaged Pin Set, this one has a 2 digit number and Pin is Operational. Look at the detailed pictures for Condition, the 2 Digit Number has been redacted for Security Purposes.These 1st Issued Badges were produced by Dayton and Simmang. Some were not Manufacturer Hallmarked. This one has a Beautiful Dayton Manufacturers Hallmark. The Front Side is extremely Detailed more so than the Simmang Manufacturer Diamonds which were not Hallmarked.

- Working Pin,
- Pin Set properly aligned,

Very Rare and hard to find. If you don't have one then you have to have one, frame it and display it. It's sure to be the Conversation Piece in any Room or the all too Proud Man or Lady Cave. Extremely worthy of a display onto it self for any collector.
