For auction is a Novelty 6 Transistor Sinclair Dino Supreme Gasoline Pump Radio –model 1623 - (about 1966 vintage)As with all vintage transistor radios, this old radio was manufacturedwith rudimentary technology and bare industry standards, designed to attractfast sales and perform for only a few years. The aged electronics are leaky, off the mark and failing. Yet, thislittle radio is art, history and marvel, all rolled into oneMade in Hong KongBands: AM onlyOperation: Thi...sradio is being sold as NON-WORKING, meaning that the buyer should notexpect the electronics of the radio to function at all. The radio did play an AM station when testedbut it is NOT promised or guaranteed to do so upon delivery. This radio is being sold as if theelectronics are inoperative, non-working and non-functional.Requires ordinary 9-volt battery. Overall Condition: Superb shape – there are NOcracks, chips, or noticeable scratches. Very few, if any, marks from wear andtear. Back of radio snaps tightly to the front of the case. The radio is SUPERclean inside and out. Please look atthe pictures. Front of Radio: Good condition. The lettering is a little faded but stillvery readable. No cracks, no chips, notarnish on front plate. The volume and tuner dials roll smoothly.The volume dial appears to be a replacement of the original– but works just fine.Interior of Radio: There is no corrosion on thebattery terminals.
