Rare French Art Nouveau Signed De Vianne Acid Etched Floral Glass Ceiling Light 1313
The beautiful glass pate de verre shade is in a amber color with a brown molten effect and edge.The glass is overlaid with a beautiful acid etched floral and leaf pattern.The 3 ropes are a bronze color and held in place with small round screw fittings.The ropes lead to a simple round brass ceiling rose.
Stunning rare French pendant light purely Art Nouveau period 1920s.Made ...by the famous Vianne factory and signed de Vianne.
Vianne Glass was founded in 1928 by glass artisans in the Bordeaux region of France and was the last remaining glass blowing factory in France. Sadly, the Vianne factory shut down several years ago, making this beautiful glass extremely limited and rare.
The approximate measurements Height from top of ceiling rose to bottom of bowl 52 cmDiameter of bowl 35 cm.Depth of bowl 13 cm. Diameter of rose 10.5 cmThe approximate weight is 3.55 KG
The light is fully working with new 2 core braided wiring and takes 1 large screw in bulb.
The shade is in excellent antique condition with no cracks or chips just marks associated with age.The ropes are in good condition as is the ceiling rose.
This is a outstanding piece and a rare find in such good condition.If you are looking for a true French Art Nouveau piece this is the one for you, its beautiful warm colors would suit many room settings.
