Original Description:
This is for an original plank owner certificate from the USS Wasp CV-18 belonging to William E Elkins. This is not a reproduction. Bought at an estate sale over 30 years ago and forgotten until now. Do not know if the plank piece was ever claimed or if they even still do that. It measures 18" x 15" Comes with the original tube and a small plank owners card .  The seal on the certificate will need some TLC as the adhesive is wearing off and the seal itself and ribbon will need adju...sted before framing.  There are signs of age like foxing of the paper but the document is still intact with no tears. Put this is a nice frame and it will be a very nice decoration.  It has been in its tube all this time so it is liking its rolled shape.
