This sale is for a very high quality piece of Antique porcelain. It bears the familiar crossed swords mark in under-glaze blue used by Meissen. This is entirely hand painted in the center with rich polychrome colors that bring the flowers to life!!! The deeply molded borders and edges are finished in both High Gloss Gilt gold and a sandy textured satin gold gilt that creates a stunning encrusted look . I am not certain how to exactly date this serving bowl , but I do think it is from ...the period of 1890 to 1920. This oblong serving bowl is 13 7/8" from handle to handle and 8 1/4" across at its widest point , and 3 3/8" tall at its tallest spot from tabletop. This is very eye catching and will look good as the centerpiece in any collection of fine quality porcelain.
