Because I live in Canada, flat shipping to Canada or the USA is pricey. So I order custom boxes that are 13 x 10 x 10 inches in order to give competitive shipping rates. This way I can Loosely curl the pennant around as opposed to Roll...ing it tight. I am also a pennant collector and I wouldn't ship your Pennant in any way that I wouldn't want them shipped to myself. There may however be some Pennants that I would still prefer to ship flat and therefore the shipping calculator price will reflect that of flat shipping. In those situations I will specify at the top of the description that the pennant is being shipped flat.
