Up for auction is this all-original Nomura ROBOTANK-Z produced around the mid-1960s in Japan. The original box is included. This is the FIRST VERSION with LITHOGRAPHED TIN ARMS – Later versions had plastic arms. This is in overall very good condition. When I received it, one of the guns had broken off and I opened up and repaired it. Now everything works great. There was also a little corrosion in the battery compartment. I cleaned it up, treated it with anti-rust stuff, and pai...nted over it with some silver paint. It has been fine for years. Despite those couple of minor things – this is a fantastic version of this robot! The lithography all around is excellent – no rust. The top dome is clear and clean with no cracks. Put the batteries in and switch it on and it does a bump and go action with arms going back n’ forth and light in top dome spinning around. Then it stops and the guns come out and “fire” (Lights work in guns) then back to bump and go action. A very nice example of this terrific and uniquely designed robot. The box is another story. The box is ok , but pretty well worn. There are also some tears that have been repaired. Nonetheless, it holds together and is still the original box. Again, please look at the photos. I have taken pictures to best illustrate the condition of everything. I believe that this working robot to be in very, very good condition and very clean looking. The one in the photos is the one you will receive.
