A verycharacterful set of five thin amber glass apothecary remedy bottles with original paper labels and cork stoppers. These are being sold for display purposes only.
The bottles are all made from amber coloured glass and have cork stoppers . They all have their original paper labels, four were issued by A. Nwlson and Co. Ltd of Duke Street, London, and one from a Leicester based pharmacy. They each measure around 4.4 inches(11.1 cm) in height.All of the bottles are labelled f...or different contents.
These would make attractive, unusual and rare little pieces to add to any collection ofapothecary, medical or scientific type items, and would also suit asteampunk themed home, room or display.
PostalPrice Increases to the United StatesTheRoyal Mail have recently given notice of an increase in their pricesto the USA; it’s a result of the decision by the US Postal Serviceto increase the prices they charge other postal services to deliveroverseas mail within the US (it’s known as the ‘last mile’delivery). The result is that Royal Mail prices to the USA haveincreased by about 50% starting on July 1st – as examples, the costof a 500g parcel (probably the most common size we send) is going upfrom £9.81 to £14.88, while a 2kg package goes from £18.97 to£29.41.
