THIS IS A SCARCE HARD TO FIND CLOCK RADIO manufactured in the late 1950's!!Estate sale find. It will be sold in as found condition The clock is not currently working. It might just need to be cleaned / lubricated. This type of clock has a battery wound mainspring. If you research this clock radio, lubrication is a common problem on the clock. The radio works, but it's not very loud. I think it needs the contacts for the battery terminals cleaned a bit. The switch below the clock t...hat controls the functions is also a bit intermittent. It works but you have to slide it back and forth a bit. It moves smoothly, it needs to have the contacts cleaned. The inside is relatively clean, but there are green areas on some of the metal parts inside of the radio. Probably from a battery or two that was left in the clock radio for too long. The three gold painted panels that make up the sides have some paint loss, smudges and discoloration. I believe the panels could actually be removed and repainted to restore the look it had when it was manufactured approximately 60 years ago! I read somewhere that this Zenith clock radio actually retailed for $150! That was a lot of money in the late 1950's. The radio dial panel opens up to replace batteries and service the clock when needed. It has a magnet closure with spring assisted closing. The radio still spins freely on its base. THIS RADIO WILL DISPLAY VERY NICELY!Because of various issues.... ... this clock radio will be be sold as is for parts or repair. PLEASE LOOK VERY CLOSELY AT THE PICTURES FOR DETAILS OF THE CONDITION AND SIZE BEFORE BIDDING OR PURCHASING.!!***** Please message me if you have any questions, or would like any additional photos. *****
