Most of my inventory of these thimbles were depleted through private sale as they are very hard to find. Then they got misplaced and I'm so happy I found them. Javier crafts two styles of thimbles. This one is his FINO / FINE style and though the photos are good, they are much more beautiful and intricate when seen in person. I also will be listing his regular style (when I find them - lol). They are also beautiful thimbles but are not as intricate. Both cerami...c styles are a glazed pattern on bisque clay that gives a nice texture similar to enamel accents. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed with his thimbles. They are about 1" tall and in NEW condition. Inside they are signed (sometimes full name, sometimes initials), with Mexico, and year created.
You won't see these on eBay very often because they are quite difficult to obtain. Javier does not accept credit cards. He does not sell wholesale - whether you buy 1 or 100, the price per thimble is the same. His staff does not speak English. If you choose to drive to his studio you must go though an area that is considered to be unsafe. And if you do go to his studio and do not see what you want, you must wait 2 months - his average production interval. You can find his pieces in some of the larger cities in Mexico but they are quite expensive because of all the reasons listed above.
