Jean Goardère was a French craftsman who began creating decorative objects from copper and tin in 1938. He received many awards in France for his craftsmanship and design.
This decorative carafe is fashioned from crystal glass and pewter in the shape of a rooster. We have seen descriptions of this item as "Chocolate Carafe", but consider it to be useful as wine decanter or other beverage dispenser.
This decanter is about 10" in height and about 12 1/2" in width....
