Description and ConditionAntique 1930s Raggedy Andy Molly-E Outfitters Cotton Rag Doll. One owner, all original stitching and clothes. The doll is 14” in length with horizontally-striped legs, blue feet and pants, and a silk screen painted face. Our research indicates that this doll was most likely produced between 1935-1938 and is an heirloom quality collectible treasure. It was given as a gift to my friend’s father in 1938, the year he was born, by his grandfather and has remaine...d with the family ever since. It is in fair to good condition. Small tear on left leg near hip area. All other stitching looks good. Pants show some discoloration, but overall in look good. There is some fabric discoloration, especially along the top of the head and lower parts of the legs (see pics): typical for a rag doll that is 80+ years old. This item has been kept in a smoke- and pet-free environment.
