For sale stunning Swiss made 1970's Roamer Galapagos divers watch.I bought this watch off the second owner who had had it since 1982.It was made in the mid 1970's and was only made for 2 years making it a rare watch.It was the last watch Roamer made using their own in house MST 522 movement.It is a large size for it's era, at 42mm without crown and the steel case is in superb unpolished condition.
It has a beautiful blue dial with matching blue bezel.
The dial is in superb c...ondition and has nicely aged tritium markers and date window at 3.
It has original hands with perfect aged in fill and correct red and white second hand.
This watch probably has one of the coolest second hands of any that I've owned.
It states "Swiss made" at the base,
The watch has excellent condition original plexiglass.
The bezel is in super condition and has faded nicely over the years to a lighter shade of blue.
It has nice resistance and even has the original tritium marker at 12.
The watch has it's original large Roamer signed screw down crown.
This is a quite a chunky watch and feels very substantial on the wrist.
It has a screw on caseback that is stamped on the inside with the numbers 04010.
The outside of the caseback states "Stainless Steel - MOD 522.2120.108" and has the Roamer engraving.
The watch uses a very high quality signed Roamer 17 jewel MST 522 automatic movement.
The watch keeps excellent time with good power reserve and works exactly as it should.
It is 47mm in diameter including crown and 42mm without
It is 45mm lug to lug and lug spacing is 20mm.
It comes with a handmade Lic leather strap that cost £85.
This is a very original example in superb condition.
These watches are rare beasts and rarely come up for sale.
