Here is an great ORIGINAL WW2 German CANTEEN AND CUP. The canteen shows typical combat wear and age. The bottle is made of aluminum and the neck is marked "ESR 42" (maker mark and date). The brown wool cover shows matting, soiling and a wear spot on the back. The metal snaps show heavy patina. The leather loop on the front of the cover is not present.The leather straps are in good condition, though there is heavy wear to the section where the buck is at the front. Karabiner clip on the... back works well. The CUP shows heavy wear and retains approx. 50% of the original black paint. The cup is maker marked and dated "EFF 40". GREAT FOR DISPLAY OR RE-ENACTING.
