Purchase With Confidence! This is a new eBay ID - Have completed eBay sales of Photographica since 1997. LISTING INFORMATION - Approximate 4.6 x 6.75 image of large cannons and crane at Sandy Hook Proving Grounds off the coast of New Jersey. Established in 1874 and adjoining Fort Hancock, the proving grounds were moved to Aberdeen, Maryland in 1919. The proving grounds is where new and converted guns would be fired. The firing range extended 3, 000 yards (2, 700 ...;m) south along the beach and for long range test firing, guns would be aimed out to sea to provide the necessary distance. Not dated, but likely from right around 1900. Mounted on stiff card mount approximately 6.5 x 8.5 inches. Notes on back of mount. The image has some variation in tones – see photos. Image is clean. Mount has lower left corner wear. Original Vintage Image - This is not a modern copy. Questions Are Welcomed
