Description: Vintage Stanley No. 45 Combination Plane- Fine Condition - Type 12, (1915-1920) with the Script Logo. This plane looks like it was used once and put away where it stayed protected from the atmosphere. I have rarely seen a 100 year old plane in such in such fine condition. Everything is here except for the original instruction booklet but I will include a copy of it. The sliding lid dovetailed box is not original but it houses the pl...ane and all parts perfectly. There are 21 original blades housed in the original wooden cases. The lid is missing from one of them. The screwdriver shows wear and was found in the same chest that housed the plane but in a different compartment and shows more wear than the plane.
Condition: All original parts, no rust or pitting, no cracks, chips or breaks anywhere, the rosewood tote has a hairline as shown and the rosewood knob is perfect with no cracks or chips. The nickel plating is approximately 99-1/2%, merely a bit missing on the bottom edge of the skate as shown.
