The car is almost new, as it was only used a couple of times before being stored away.
The car should be compatible with most Sony Ericsson phones from that era with this type of connector.
Included is the Sony Er...icsson T610 that this was stored with for years. The phone charges, but I can't test it more than that as I don't have a SIM card. I'm pretty sure it's locked to the T-Mobile network in the USA. It's in decent condition with very little wear on the screen, but it's clearly used.
See the following link on Archive.org for a review with additional details from 2003:https://web.archive.org/web/20060513224242/https://mobile-review.com/print.php?filename=/review/sonyericcson-btcar-en.shtml
According to that review:
"The car can be driven a couple of hours on each charge. Two gears are available, enabling you to set your own speed. The car is controlled with the phone's joystick or navigation keys, which instantly transmit your commands to the car. You probably get accustomed to the navigation within less than half an hour and then maybe more complicated tracks would challenge you further, which you can easily build using improvised materials (books, rulers etc.) Two hours later you realize that you didn’t notice the time pass! This toy is ideal for children, but as it is well known, adults are the same kids – only older - and usually prefer more expensive toys."
