Here we have a nice Hermann Fiedler of Dresden, Germany Violin modeled on a Stradivarius, c. 1910-20. Signed and labeled in side with his label marked "Hermann Fiedler, Dresden" with the handwritten model/order number of "4702" (a pretty early number, probably making it closer to 1910 or so). Matching label on the other side noting it was modeled after a Stradivarius. Measures approximately 24 inches long and 8.25 inches wide at the widest point. Needs restoration, th...ough it appears to be a solid instrument, it is not pulling apart at any of the seams, has no breaks or cracks in the body. It does have an original, although dirty finish, solid neck, wear on the underside of the neck from use, two small chips, comes with what looks like its original beat-up leather covered case.
