This auction is for a handsome, vintage 10K yellow gold gent's ring featuring a rectangular cut synthetic color change sapphire gemstone. The stone measures approx. 12mm x 10mm, is approx. 5.0 carats in weight and is in very good surface condition. The stone appears dark purple with flashes of reddish purple and changes slightly to a duller bluish purple in daylight. These synthetic sapphire stones were produced to imitate alexandrite and other natural color change st...ones. Please see photos for design details of setting.Marks include 10K, PSCo (Plainville Stock Co., a Massachusetts manufacturer) and has very slight metal scratches due to normal wear. Weight is 7.5 grams. This ring is in very good pre-owned condition with a few very tiny nicks on the top table facet edges of the gemstone and on the bottom side of stone which must be original to the piece - you can see in pictures. Shipping is a little higher for insurance.Please note that we charge sales tax on the full amount for items sold in North Carolina.Please note: Pieces are sold in as-found condition. These are vintage used treasures and I gently clean the pieces, but leave major cleaning and polishing up to the buyer to do as per taste. I do my best to inspect each piece and describe/photograph any hallmarks, signatures, metal marks, flaws, damage and imperfections as best I can, but please ask any questions you may have before bidding.
