KOREA MODERN ART - 20th CENTURY - LEE SE DUKPAINTING – 1966 - 91cm x 73cmI bought this painting in 1966 in Manhattan in New York Cityat an exhibit of contemporary Asian art. It has hung in my home, away from sun light, since then.The artist is Lee SeDuk (Se Duk Lee), 1921-2001. From a search of the web:“Lee SeDuk has been inthe center of the development of Modern Korean art history. Lee SeDuk has been going along with 20thcentury modernism; figurative art, nonfigur...ative art and abstraction in art.”This oil painting is signed “SeDuk Lee”, dated “1966”, and titled "MUSE". The size is 91.4 cm x 73.0 cm (36” x 28.75”) not including the silver wooden frame which adds 1.3 cm (1/2”) at each side.The web also notes that the artist, born in 1921, waseducated when Korea was under Japanese rule. Thus there may be some Japanese influence in this abstract artwork (?).I will ship to within the U.S.A., to Korea, or to othercountries, by whatever method the buyer chooses.
