1972 SCHWINN STINGRAY MIDGET MUSCLE BIKE VINTAGE MINI KRATE PEA PICKER VINTAGE! Click Photos to Enlarge
Description Here... is a rare original JUNE 1972 mini SCHWINN STINGRAY 16" BICYCLE! (FH Serial Number) This bike is from the era when most everything was cool! (the HEMICUDA, Mach 1 Mustang, and Camaro Z-28 come to mind!) This is a hard to find bike and people LOVE them! They never seem to come along in any condition! This bike has been in long term storage and has not been owned by collectors. Be the first to get this bike back into the light and enjoy it!
*The bike is in the original and very appealing CAMPUS GREEN factory painted color. (how cool would it be to make a small version of the famous Schwinn Pea Picker Krate bike in original paint?) The bike has cool mini handlebars, small hand grips, cool rear sissy bar, a 16" Schwinn Stingray banana seat, (has rips) original chain guard, (has a fresh decal) and so much more! This one has Schwinn wheels front and rear with a Bendix hub. Has vintage Schwinn tires that do hold air. Front is a Schwinn Superior. The rear is a slightly newer Schwinn tire. I dont know where you would find another like it! It is awesome! The bike is an original single speed with operable coaster brakes. Enjoy it just like it is or this is a great start for your "mini" krate bike!*This is super cool that this bike still exists! Usually they were passed on from one child to the next, to the next, to the next. They are normally abused and worn out then thrown away once the smallest child has grown up! I am happy this one is still around and able to get a 2nd chance at life! *Now is your chance to own one of the COOLEST bikes EVER MADE! Make someone in your life happy with this one. This is a cool bike that you can enjoy for years! It is money in the bank and will only go UP in value! You RARELY find these bikes anymore! They were all abused and thrown away back in the 1970s-80s. Finding one these days is a big challenge. If you check out Ebay, the selection on any 1960s Stingray bikes is very little. They are very cool and people enjoy owning, riding, and displaying them! Most people do not sell these bikes once they have them. Be the first to get this bike back out in the light and have fun with it! I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.
*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age. Usually theses are handed down from kid to kid and destroyed over the years! Happy this one survived. The paint looks ok for a 45+ year old boys bike! (has chips scratches etc) The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to) Rear wheel is missing a spoke. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.
*Sorry for the LONG description, these bikes really excite me. This awesome ride starts low with ABSOLUTELY NO RESERVE so bid early and don't miss out! This will sell to the high bidder! Sorry, no buy it now is offered. People will ENVY you when you ride by at a car show or on the street with this bike! Sold as is because it is used. I try to list anything I notice with the bike. Keep in mind this is a vintage bike that has probably not been ridden for a while so it may need minor tuning, bearings greased, polishing, etc, These bikes are getting harder to find and are more popular than ever before! You will enjoy owning, riding, and displaying it for years! People always remember these bikes but seldom see them in person. Your new vintage bike will be shipped partially disassembled in a factory bike box. I take them in to have them packaged so they almost always arrive in the same condition as they left us. You may want to consider insurance, just in case. Once it has shipped, I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items without insurance.
*SHIPPING TIME I ship bikes on Tuesdays and Fridays via Fed Ex. Generally, if I receive your payment by 1 pm central time on Monday, it allows me enough time to get your bike to the shop for packing and to ship along with the Tuesday AM shipment.
