Realistic wood carving of a chipmunk by famed Maine carver, James R. Peacock. It stands about 8 inches tall and is about 4.5 inches wide at the wooden stump base which displays the carver's name. It is in splendid condition even though it has been on continuous display since we purchased this piece directly from the carver sometime in the early 1990's. Expertly carved of wood with attention to detail this little chipmunk is finished off to perfection with glass eyes, individual toes ...on each foot, whiskers and holding an acorn. It is in excellent condition with no breaks, no cracks or any loss of paint.We bought this one to display in our rustic home in the Pennsylvania mountains and then it made the move with us to our current home in Florida where it seems to be a bit out of its element in our tropical themed home.
