WALTHAM sold to US market, parts made by BLANCPAIN with famous Bathyscaphe size and detail, circa 1958.US Divers Company also had Blancpain custom label for them as well calling it Fifty Fathom 500ft.
WATCH DETAILS; Movement is manual wind 17 jewels, serviced in 2018, keeping good time.The watch case is 34mm wide, lug width is 18mm.Case body is brass nickel plated and case back is Stainless. Body has severalspots where brass shows, case back has one long scratch... and several small.Crystal is new Dial is black with some blemishes noticeable only close up, the luminescence is old and no longer glows, the original hands have been re-lumed at some point in time.CROWN is non-screw down, operates very smooth.Bezel is bi-directional, rotates smooth has several scratches and one ding at the 30 mark.Watch band is very pliable in good condition and measures 9 inches.
