US Army WW1 M - 1917 MEDICAL CORPSMAN BELT KHAKI BOLO CARRYING EXTENDER TAB RARE
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:57399 |
US military medicine early in WW1 had changed little in the 50 years since the Civil War. As the war progressed, advances on the battlefield led to advances in medical treatment, beginning with well trained and equipped medics rendering immediate attention to wounded men. Medics carried a wide array of supplies in the M-1917 medical corpsman belt, which mounted a separate small extender tab to attach the bolo. This US Army WW1 M-1917 MEDICAL CORPSMAN BELT KHAKI BOLO CARRY...ING EXTENDER TAB is in good condition, with some hardened dark residue to the grommets, some uneven bending to the wire hanger, and with some overall dark soiling and age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the tab is in fine shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the tough khaki canvas construction. Most interestingly, it boasts a darkened brass grommet at each corner, sports an intact darkened brass wire hanger at the upper back, and is a fine example of a rare, original US Army WW1 M-1917 MEDICAL CORPSMAN BELT KHAKI BOLO CARRYING EXTENDER TAB. No bolo or belt included. Now celebrating our 20th year on eBay.
