A breathtaking gown by Maxwell Shieff! A very famous Hollywood designer to the stars! His dresses are getting harder and harder to find! Especially in good, wearable condition! The material is made from the softest red silk adorned with sweet little bows! The skirt is artfully l...ined in tulle and felt and is a FULL circle skirt. It zips up the back with a metal zipper and has exterior side snaps to keep the belt in place. The dress is in very good condition with a few things to note. It has some dirt along a few places of the the bottom edge only. You'll never see it when worn. There's a small spot or two on the skirt and not noticeable....there's so much sheen and fabric here you'll probably never see it. One of the underarms has a slight ring when the sleeve is raised. Again... you'll never notice it and it wouldn't even photograph. All is reflected in the start price.
Due to the nature of the stiff skirt, it will have to be shipped in a larger box. I don't want it to fold too much.
It IS vintage so always keep that in mind...there may be light shelf dust and a pinhole or two and a seam that may need to be reinforced. All antique/vintage items are sold AS IS. Thanks for looking! : )
My dress form is a size 2/4 for comparison. The dress wouldn't zip all the way up my dress form. The measurements are across when laid flat....and are approximate.
Waist - approx 12.75 inches across......just under 13
Bust - approx 17 inches across (measured underarm to underarm)
Hips - open and free flowing
Length from top shoulder to bottom of dress is just under 48 inches.
