Walter EdwardMichaels (born October16, 1929) is a former pro...fessional footballplayer and coach who is best remembered for his six-year tenure as head coachof the NFL's New York Jetsfrom 1977 to 1982. In 1977, Michaels was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame and, in 1997he was inducted into the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame.
