Item: Tin Tanker TruckRare? Why do I call this truck "rare". It is by NO means to drive up the price because these of course have a ceiling anyways. The only reason is to simply point out its not just another gas tanker. Frankly, I was surprised it was as rare as it seems to actually be. I consider myself quite good at doing internet research and I could not find a identical image of this exact vehicle anywhere on the internet. I challeng...e anyone to show me another image (past/present) of this truck for sale. Description: For Sale is a Vintage ESSO Tin Litho Friction Toy Tanker Truck. It is Made by "Trade Mark - Made In Japan" as noted on rear side of tank. It is all tin except for the white plastic cab. This truck measures 6.5" Long. I am sure my photos will best further describe this item. Condition: On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidentlygrade this item's condition to be a solid 7.5. Overall and Especially for being 50+ Years Old, this Collectible Advertising Specimen Toy is in Very Good - Yet Unfortunately NON-FRICTION Working Condition. The friction function seems to be mostly worn out. Occasionally it works but extremely tempermental and only on the primest surfaces would you stand a chance of some friction action. The Litho Graphics are No Less than 85% Pristine. The truck overall is at least 90% Immaculate. There are Absolutely ZERO Dents/Dings. The unpainted tin left in its original natural color shows some surface wear in the form of discoloration (underside mainly). To the best of my knowledge it is 100% Complete. As mentioned above, I cannot find a image of another for comparison anywhere online. My photos are anaccurate depiction of this item's TRUECondition.
