This is a vintage, beautifully well kept, 1960’s natural turquoise and coral squash blossom necklace. This necklace is in pristine condition for its age. Each and every stone is perfect and the patina is even and dark. A real showstopper!! It’s not gaudy at all and is stunning hanging around the neckline. Signed by the artist with the letter “W” and stamped with a sterling mark, the piece has been professionally tested for metal purity and it’s metal purity of .925 is guarant...eed or money back. This was my grandmothers necklace and she wore it quite frequently for special occasions and what not. After both of my grandparents passing I was left a safe with all of their Native American jewelry. I kept some of the pieces but, there were so many I decided to sell most of them. Take a moment to check them out!!MEASUREMENTS AND DETAILS--The weight of the entire piece is 144 grams-The length of the necklace from one end to the other is 24”-The bench beads used for this piece measure 5/16” wide in the center. -The 10th photo in the listing was shown up close so the buyer can see that the chain used is a thick braided cable style chain. Not a basic single link chain. The necklace is heavy, therefore it was made with a chain strong enough to support it. -The Naja measures 2-3/4” wide (east to west) by 2-1/2” long (north to south) -The base of the Naja is made up of two long curved rods made of solid heavy gauge sterling silver and this is where the artist signed the piece and where the sterling mark is. -The 12 squash blossoms used on the piece (6 on each side) are 1-3/8” long by 3/16” wide. -All 38 stones (19 turquoise stones and 19 coral pieces) used on the necklace are set in scalloped edge bezels and each turquoise stone and coral piece are separated by two silver raindrops. -The turquoise stones range from 1/4” to 3/8” in diameter and the coral pieces measure 3/8” by 3/16” -Each setting of turquoise and coral sits inside an oval shaped silver plate with a raised outer edge that is surrounded by classic Navaho silver hand stampings. -The silver has an even heavy patina and could use a good cleaning if you wish to polish. -All of the stones are secure in their settings. -This necklace is great for everyday wear. It makes a statement but doesn’t look ridiculously huge like some squash blossoms. -The necklace is in mint condition and each stone is in perfect condition. The turquoise is a vivid shade of blue with black spiderwebbing and the coral is just as bold. They both compliment one another perfectly.
