This very rare brass locomotive was one of the first examples of the brass G gauge locomotives that were to become the trade mark of the Delton Locomotive Works of Delton Michigan. Serial Number 25 of 140 with the Headlight Lady Rose. Test run and light works.
The original Mason Bogey were double truck, narrow gauge locomotives, manufactured by the... Mason Machine Works for the 1888 Worlds Fair.
The Denver, South Park & Pacific owned twenty-three Mason Bogies built between 1875 and 1880. Four of these engines were 2-8-6t wheel arrangement all built in 1880. They are the only known locomotive of that type ever built.
