Cosmetically a mint, Canadian made summilux v2 35mm kit with included, butter smooth M2. The lens of course is the star of the show: A rare example with the elusive brass tab infinity lock. Mint-all the paint is whole and clean. You’d be hard pressed to find one in better optical or physical condition.
Was purchased from a collector ...who seemed to admire more than he’d use. I’ve since acquired it and kept it displayed when not in use. I am notoriously good to my gear, and it shows. No dings, dents, gouges or missing bits. A beautiful lens CLA’d by Youxin Ye. Ready to go. Some of the nicest optics I’ve owned in a classic Leica lens. Truly collectors piece-but also ready for film.
Mechanics:
Focus: Accurate, smooth focus. The scale is well defined and engravings are clean
Diaphragm: Clean and smooth. A very nice iris. Strong click stops. Ring turns butter smooth and the aperture is clean and dry. A beautiful aperture
Optics:
Clean, clear and bright. CLA’d, internal elements polished and a few bits of tiny internal dust were removed. Internal and external coatings are whole and clean. The glass performs as designed and is incredibly sharp with that dreamy sharp look wide open. Excellent light transmission.
No fungus, gouges, separation or scratches
Coatings are clean and bright on front & rear
Fully tested on my a7sii and the included M2. Can send test pictures on either medium. It’s a classic lens with beautiful rendering and impressive sharpness while retaining a classical look wide open. A personal favorite of mine. I’d keep it if I wasn’t looking to downsize my collection.
The M2 is a rare button rewind, CLA’d by YYe about a year and a half ago. Truly the most butter smooth M I’ve ever owned. Rangefinder is accurate, crisp and clean. Cosmetically pristine with only a few minor superficial marks as seen. You’d be hard pressed to find a button rewind in this condition. New leatherette. Completes the combo for truly one of the nicest setups in my collection-it’s just too nice to use and I’ve decided to move on from some items in the display case. Could use the money for an upcoming move anyways.
Comes with original vented hood also in mint condition as well as a generic snap on cap. Packed with care and shipped quickly. Will require a signature upon delivery. Enjoy!
