This listing is for a rare 1950s Toptex flight helmet that was used by a former military pilot who was an experimental test pilot for Hughes Aircraft. His name was J.J. O'Reilly and he flew over 50 missions for multiple branches of the military, receiving a wide array of honorary medals. The helmet includes a photograph of him and some original Hughes Aircraft paperwork. The helmet has wear from being well-used and storage. The interior is very fragile and comes apart if touched too mu...ch. This is a piece for display and should be handled carefully.
