A very good copy of this first edition, with the scarce dust jacket.  viii, 272 pages, with printer's colophon plus 5 pages of adverts at rear. Binding sound and pages clean, no marks or inscriptions, no foxing, endpapers slightly tanned, red cloth covers with minor wear and some slight spots to the front ...board. Dust jacket complete and unclipped with  minor edge wear, crease to spine, overall even tanning, now in protective sleeve. From the library of the late John Hammond, founder of the H G Wells Society.
