Baccarat Hennessy 'ELLIPSE' Crystal Decanter "RARE" Signed, numbered. Designed by Thomas Bastide for Hennessy's most expensive cognac at about $12, 000. per bottle if you can find one today. Of the only 2000 numbered decanters of Ellispe world wide Hennessy allocated 300 to 400 for the United States. Introduced in 2006, this rare 75ML decanter is acid etched on the bottom with its No. 614 along with the Baccarat logo and signature of Jas Hennessy. This is a magnificently sculpted work ...of art hand made in crystal glass by Baccarat with each edition being produced and individually controlled by the masters. The decanter's seven pontil marks ( indentations the glassworker makes with his tool, called a punty rod, which holds the bottle in place while he is shaping it) represent the seven componet eaux-de-vie of cognac and the seven generations of the Fillioux family of master blenders who crafted them. The indentations of the decanter resemble bursting bubbles on the body which allowed the light to reflect through the Cognac. The decanter is in excellent condition. Condition is 'pre-owned and empty'. Sorry no original box.
