If you've found this auction then you know what you're looking at. This unit was Theta's last stand-alone laserdisc player. The next machine they made was the Voyager, which incorporated a DVD player.
I won't waste your time with all the specs, as they are easily found online. I'm the second owner of this machine and I've had it for over 10 years. I haven't used it in the last 6 years. In the past I had the spindle motor replaced, (at Deltronics in Chicago) and I recently had the dr...awer mechanism fixed at ES Electronics here in Chicago. The machine is now ready to be used in a new home. I have receipts that I will send along to prove the work was done.
It comes with its original owners manual and its original remote. The only thing missing is the original box.
It is an absolute tank, and will be costly to ship, so keep that in mind. Local pick-up here in Chicago will save you some cash.
The only thing that does not work is the "CD Direct" function. That is what opens that tony drawer in the middle if you want to play just a CD. The gearing couldn't be found for it, so the entire drawer opens to accept the cd. This does not effect functionality. Otherwise, it is perfect.
