For your consideration is this beautifully restored, vintage (circa 1920 - 1930) Griswold large logo, number 12 self basting skillet lid. This number 12 self-basting lid measures 14.5” across the bottom (spout to spout), and it weighs roughly 5.5 lbs. It was completely stripped to bare metal via a lye bath and then it had two rounds of seasoning with grape seed oil in a 500 degree oven. It sits flat - no wobble. Thee are no cracks or repairs. It’s truly in excellent condition! The ...underside surface is super smooth! This is from my personal cast iron collection which I am paring down. The matching pan is listed in a separate auction.
