Offered in this sale is a RARE, limited edition, Russian language book with a title that translates in English to THE LITTLE HOUSE IN KOLOMNA which was written by Alexander Puskin. What mak...es this book particularly interesting is the fact that the woodcut illustrations are all done by the famous artist Vladimir Favorsky and is actually hand signed and numbered by Favorsky on the inside which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. The book measures roughly 11 1/4" x 7 3/4". I do not know how nor do I have enough experience to professionally "grade" the condition of books so please look at the images closely. There are no rips, tears or missing pages, however a good portion of the paper covering the binding is missing (see 4th image). The binding itself seems to be in tact but I do not want to handle it too much for fear of damaging it. There is of course age toning to the front and back but otherwise this is a little gemPlease be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail of the decoration and condition.
