Vintage Lovely quality Egyptian 18ct gold Scarab Beetle pendant set with a large beautifully coloured facet cut amethyst as the abdomen for the scarab, nicely detailed the scarab boasts six legs raising it from the floor of the pendant, the pendant is intact with bale for threading with a chain so as to be worn about the neck and the back of the pendant is relief worked with various Coptic type hieroglyphs in a closed gallery, the pendant (excluding bale) measures 2.3 cm x 1.5 cm x 7 m...m in dimension and is marked clearly for Egyptian 18ct gold.
