*** ************************** ****Up for sale here is a rare hutchinson soda bottle from Pittsburgh, Pa. This example is quite early for a hutch, and has the applied on blob top, and some light whittle to the old blue aqua colored glass. It is in good shape and was dug many years ago. Bottle has some minor ground wear, and some slight haze. There is a small flat chip near the ...base on the lower right side. See pictures. Bottle looks to date from the very early 1880's. Listed as rare on the Hutchbook.com site.*It is crisply embossed in a round slug plate, as it reads ~ "A. Mc. CLAIN / PITTSBURGH." On the lower reverse heel it has the "C & Co 4" Pittsburgh glass house initials. On the base it has a crude "A Mc C" monogram embossed. This bottle slightly tapers from the base to the top. This example measures 7 inches tall, and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. You will be quite pleased with this vintage piece of soda pop bottle history, from this southwestern Pa. city.
